Joël Césari and his team are delighted to welcome you to La Bagatelle Bistro in Dole in the Jura. The menu of this new restaurant features bistronomic cuisine concocted in keeping with the seasons and inspired by the chef's imagination, using carefully selected, top-quality local produce.

As soon as you step through the doors, the tone is set. The team at Joël Césari's restaurant casually sport polo shirts, black trousers and the latest trainers, all topped off with an apron. Their laid-back yet elegant attire perfectly reflects the atmosphere of this cosy, gourmet bistro in Dole.

The chef and his Cuisine

Comfortably seated on the pretty terrace on sunny days, discover the menu of this fine dining, traditional restaurant in Dole. Just a glance at the dishes will take you on a tour of the Jura region in all its wealth and diversity. River fish, fruit and vegetables, Comté cheese, Bleu de Gex and Morbier cheeses... Everything is market-fresh and utterly delicious, produced using organic, sustainable and biodynamic farming methods.

Joël Césari composes his menu in line with the seasons, inspired by the produce brought to him by his friends and producers. The chef never ceases to showcase the Jura's agricultural heritage and the skills of the men and women who bring it to life, day in, day out. Mushrooms are followed by mirabelle plums, rabbit, or a freshly caught pike, or perhaps some trout from the Jura's Petite Montagne, not forgetting the pick of the day. With as much pleasure as skill, Joël Césari draws out all the many tastes and textures of each ingredient to create a truly succulent play of flavours.
